THE DIGEST

Chula Vista High in the Super Bowl?

I know not everyone cares about the big game, but our very own Chula Vista High School got its moment of fame during the Super Bowl commercials! The NFL featured our local stars in a commercial promoting girls' flag football. How cool is it to see our community represented on such a massive stage?

San Diego Experiencing Atmospheric Storm ⛈️

Get ready for a soaker! The biggest storm of 2025 is under way, bringing multiple days of rain. Rain from the remnants of an atmospheric river caused slippery roadways and traffic delays across San Diego County, including a semi-truck crash. Don’t let that stop you from enjoying the weekend fun, but remain safe and drive slow!

San Diego’s Notorious Lamborghini Yacht goes on Urgent Sale 🛥️

Well well well...San Diego's most controversial Lambo yacht is up for "urgent sale" at a cool $4.5M. From UFC champs falling overboard to wild dock fights, this bright blue beauty has seen more drama than a reality TV show. If you've got a few million laying around (don’t be cheap on me) and want a 63-foot conversation starter that goes 60+ knots, now's your chance to own a piece of San Diego Bay infamy.

Historic Hob Nob Hill Restaurant In Bankers Hill Set For Temporary Closure 🍽️

Sad news, foodies! After 80 amazing years serving up classic American comfort food, Hob Nob Hill is changing hands and will close temporarily in March. The beloved Bankers Hill spot has been crushing it lately with record revenues, but owner Tania Warchol is ready to retire and pass the torch to the folks behind Nolita Hall. Here's hoping the new owners keep the old-school charm we've all come to love at this San Diego institution.
